When I'm in Charge of Writing Horoscopes
Aquarius will skip into the arms
of new romance, Taurus will welcome
intrigue, Leo will receive a promotion.
I will predict windfalls, stunning vacations,
and serendipity. It will never be a good time
to clean closets and drawers, build rapport
with co-workers which is promised Gemini today.
Makes me wonder who's writing these.
Probably some old guy in Iowa sitting around
in his boxers. His ex-wife is a Gemini.
And the seventh-grade team captain who picked him
last. The drill sergeant who rode his ass.
When I take over, Gemini is going to tango across
the horizon and I'm taking all of the Zodiac with me.
