Cold

She was just blowing her nose
On phone, not from a cold,
While talking of this and that,
Of her granddaughter, a girl
In pigtails, on way to school.

She was not talking of her son
Or of his late ghost in the hall.
When the girl goes to school
She makes sounds in the hall
Enough to scare away a ghost.
Nose blowing might shoo it off.
