For all the land was worth
it fell beyond the rushing
grass jewelled with hung
mallow, emerging from our
outstretched necks as a giant
washed-up rusted crane
perched on a stack of shallow
rock, where the Celtic Sea
wished over and over
it could dislodge the trick
and claim it for its own.
