My Toes

My toes are no longer toes.
They are maps of the future.
I am trying to keep this a secret
but I know someday it will
get out. It is almost April. Soon
I will have to buy flip-flops.

Ben Reed is an undersized point-guard with a solid mid-range game. He lives and works in Atlanta, and occasionally reads poetry aloud to friends and strangers. He recently graduated from Emory University on his own terms.
