Tara Montgomery
Purple Stemmed Flames
best case scenario/this doesn't end in hell/
carry me in a handbasket/on the way a meadow
draped in lavender instead/I'll painstakingly
imagine both in details/that will bring me to tears/
my children will say, she'll be fine/she just needs
to be sad about it all first/should hellfire singe me/
find me searching for linen to wrap my wrists in/
the same linen I'll soak in water to wrap stems
of lavender/
should hell turn to meadow
