Bio
I was born in England, but now reside in New Zealand. Currently I am studying Anthropology at the University of Waikato, though I have worked as an Outdoor Instructor since 2012. Writing is my passion. I have published in Takehe Magazine, and write as much as I can, usually after sunset.

Worked Stone, Aotearoa
I am a mata. Built of stone
Chipped from the mountainside
Shaped into a tool by a skilled hand
I am made for tohorā blubber
To shave the skin from the fat
I am imbued with blood
Of moa, of kereru, of kekeno
I am a toki. Built of stone
From a distant mountainside
Brought forth by visitors to this land
They say I may hew even kauri
The mightiest of forests
Flakes of obsidian, of my making
Will fall to the work
I am a whao. One day I will need
To be re-touched, or re-made
