Yota Daniil
To Laugh
It is more of a cry
My laugh fills only others
My mind,
My body,
My soul:
Empty
I long to laugh,
to laugh
and hold my soul
Bio
Yota Daniil is working toward her B.A. in English and intends on doing additional graduate work in the field toward the goal of teaching. As a first generation American, she is intensely interested in her Greek heritage, visiting Greece often for pleasure and study. Her major influence in poetry is Pablo Neruda. This is her first publication in a major journal, and she would like to dedicate her poem to R.G. Rader. She lives in New Jersey, USA.
