Lynn D. Gilbert
Adult Problem Child
Stubborn and rash, he butts his head
hard against the granite of what-is
over and over, suffering fast-bleed
scalp wounds, then an insistent buzz
inside his skull; doesn't give a damn
for others, ignoring even their power
to hurt him; and gleefully tears down
anything others have built, in an hour.
