Three years, two months.
I correct her grammar
-it's not I don't got-
re-set the pen in her hand,
properly, I say,
vigorously scowling
scrubbing
tiles.

Standing on a kitchen chair,
hinged over, she's hiding
something on paper.
Done.
She waves it like a flag,
and when I look properly
it says
Hi
