J.R. Corey
Stuck in the Middle with You
Love is never wrong
Kimberly says to me
after I stop praying.
Some people eat ice cream or nothing at all.
I vomit until my throat bleeds.
Some people sleep or sleep around
I wander around sleep
and let L'Oreal mascara smother my face
in a stream of blackened screams.
Some people drink whiskey or hot tea.
And then there's me—
too afraid to turn to heaven or to hell.
