Ed Shacklee
How to Improve My Writing Skills
I will have to die and rise each morning,
or later, depending,
an uncertain hybrid of our Lord,
the pansies outside my window,
and maniacal bad guys in worse movies
for whom there is always a sequel;
ignore the bathroom mirror till it isn't blank;
ride my bicycle to China;
and get through this day, if
that is still possible.
