Lamplight

A modicum of laughter pierces solitude
the moon here turns into a lamplight.

The stars hang on the bridges and
shout about the night that remains.

They rip open the empty streets
where dark songs store their lyrics.

I count exile years of my shoulder
spilling forth from an iron almirah.

But there are moments when I watch
myself crying before the broken mirror.

I try to say something but the white owl
catches my words and blows them.

The west wind takes my body in exchange
of sleepless dream that I cannot gather in my palm.
