Gareth lives in Wales. He had his first collection published, The Miner, by FutureCycle in 2018. He has been published in various places across the UK and USA. His two dogs, Jasper and Lana, help redraft his poems.

The Old Man Visits Weekly
Once a week an old man
pops by holds a newspaper
between his arm and rib.
He's polite, listens to the
gushing of water behind
the glass. We chat like
neighbours though I don't
know where he lives.
We share a tongue of words
let the syllables butterfly
in the laundry. He looks at
me as if I'm made of glass.
His company fills the room
takes the cars away, stops
the clock, slows the spin.
