Your dead voice is...

no song or hum, no comfort
yet a grown man unburdened,
perhaps weary of the constant chant
chasing the living.
The thought of your silences registers
between my many heard voices,
remains unheard but in my head
there is something missing,
a tease slipped and swept,
stretched in the loss
of an uncaught dream.
In my night's legacy of mouthed silences,
the hunt of a grown man
for a part in the now, rising up
drowning the silences
of dead voices.
