I count your freckles like the stars
as you speak of roller coasters in the night
the swing that spins forever
like staring in your eyes
your red polka dot dress
keep us humble
keep us at a distance
as I trace the little dipper on your breasts
allow me to hide behind this mask
while you rest your hand gently to your face
take me down this road
lead me again
to your mona lisa smile
if you knew me you would hate me
you said
only I refuse to believe.
