Waiting in queues
I feel tension coiled
in those around me

the twitching
the shuffling
the clock-watching

I meditate on chaos
and the unpredictability
of events

We are not to blame
for Interrupting
our straight paths

There are secrets
to be buried tenderly
in soft earth

while breathing in
particles of the dead
