ribs by the lake, Isaac indicates
the electric yellow satellite
blinking above the black spruces
and pronounces it Venus
"that is the third brightest object,
after the sun and the moon,
in the earthly sky"
with courtesy, the Korean couple
correct that it is the "gold star"
as Mark and Lai Mui gaze
upward, twenty again and penniless
