Lois Marie Harrod
Fame
Like the missionary who compressed
the essentials of salvation
into a single sermon so short
that the unsaved soul hearing it once
could understand and obey,
she imagined reading her single poem
to the 1,330,044,605 people of China,
and having one or two nod praise.
