Pulsations of Time

let us to the making of sons
under music and plum trees
let us sing the breaking of wings
and rise to the laughter of bees

there's a ripe fall for wisdom
that grows from the blushes of youth
redundant fire smouldering under skin
pulsing with entangled desires

while we remember the throbbing
our hearts made in earlier years
before senses slowed to smiles
and the welcome of clasped hands
