How I Almost Became A Star Down In The Sky
when I was four
I dug dirt deep
with a plastic shovel
and uncle Fred said
if I dug down too deep
I'd come out the bottom of the world
tumble end-over-end down into the sky
and become a star
or maybe a new moon
if I didn't fall too fast and
Simon helped a lot his
paws worked better
and I splained to him that he
could come with me
if he'd carry
our lunch
