Lois Marie Harrod
Just before the resurrection . . . a civilization goes up in flames
The Guardian Nigeria, April 16, 2019
And my mind is burning the great Library of Alexandria
and my body is burning the solitary labyrinth of God
and yes, my heart is burning Notre Dame and its great tower—
and the whole earth is glowing warm,
but my friend is still writing her god poems
for a god who seems vertically challenged
and needs speech therapy.
She believes he can somehow save us.
I don't have much patience for her
in this holocaust.
