Marcus Rogers
A Scalpel
Let me press up against you.
Spill all your insides out.
You have never been intimate
with anyone this way.
Nothing is more personal
than being inside you.
The initial damage was caused by a crash.
He hit you and hurt you
and I smoothed out the edges.
I cut so deep and so straight
you barely bled.
But I never wanted to fix you.
That is what the stitches are for.
