Water Curtain Cave
The swollen gutter drops
a white curtain of rainwater
reminding Lili of the cave
waterfall where she was
photographed with her father.
Not the cave but the photo
is all she remembers, a mere
toddler in his arms, and now
in the years after his burial
she is still looking out through
the bleary lens of his departure.
