Lines for Harry Dean Stanton
I place Partly Fiction recordings, down somewhere
for a moment, because I need to listen to Harry Dean Stanton,
singing, "Everybody's Talkin'"
and I'm gazing up into a Glitter and Doom Tour Poster
at a singer wearing a bowler hat.
He has just missed out on someone else's skip,
and is throwing a handful of glitter
into the air.
I've just hung the poster up on my study wall.
So there it is, Harry.
I am as close to music in my dreams.
A lucky life is like this.
