I see you in the reflection
of the kitchen window;

through the glass,
trees, leaves falling,
night coming fast.

One day I will not.

Maybe because I will not be here,
or maybe because
waves have washed away
all your footsteps,

moments

when we held hands,
embraced,

and were happy.
