Bio
Ceri Marriott is a UK writer, with nature and everyday life providing many sources of inspiration for mainly short forms of poetry such as haiku, tanka and cherita, and short / flash fiction. She has had her work published in print and online in the UK and the USA and recently had her first book, Soirée, published as a recipient of the Cherita Award by The Cherita. Other publishers include Shot Glass Journal, The Fib Review, Poetry Nation, Plum Tree Tavern, Mobius: The Journal of Social Change, The Japan Society, London, Friday Flash Fiction, Nottingham Writers' Studio, and Charnwood Arts. As silent, as veiled as the dying light
When darkness alone witnesses
The fragile breaking from within,
Like the crumbling of a wall,
And all that is left is the black of night.
