Jane Dougherty lives and works in southwest France. A Pushcart Prize nominee, her poems and stories have been published in magazines and journals including Ogham Stone, the Ekphrastic Review, Black Bough Poetry, ink sweat and tears, Gleam, Nightingale & Sparrow, Green Ink and Brilliant Flash Fiction. Yesterday, the wind blew all day, blew blue
as speedwell on the banks.
Like frost lingering
among shadows
spring-
tinted.

As speedwell on the bank
creeps, a daffodil
carpet spreads
sharp,
bright,

like frost lingering.
Moon drapes
silver
cloth

among shadows,
night-
blue,

spring-
tinted.
