K.A. Morrhys saw numerical concepts in all aspects of life starting from childhood. Drawn to structured poetry, her first published poem appeared in Read magazine when she was 13.  She obtained her Ph.D. in applied mathematics, going on to a career in information systems management with the U.S. government.  Now semi-retired, her flexible consulting schedule helps her fulfill her promise to herself to write actively.  Two of her short stories appeared recently in sLiterary magazine, for which she also took a turn as editor.  An example of her haiku can be found in the Shin Tao Haiku Retreat in the virtual world of Second Life.  For the Retreat, Morrhys thanks another Fib Review writer, Mark Arvid White.

Morrhys lives in Maryland, United States, surrounded by wonderful, supportive family and friends.
