Gregory Palmerino
Reflections

In
fall,
at dawn,
the lake water
turns into a warm mosaic
of golden boughs; as if some Byzantine church
had doffed its golden dome of sainted heads
and hallowed design in deference
to every traveler
under blue
black
sky.
