Todd Osborne
Landscape in WiFi Networks
There are no more passwords to guess,
no more firewalls. We share one network
now, and use it for searches like where
is my family, how long can the water
keep rising, can a man live on stilts
alone. These questions yield no returns,
no suggestions, not even a sarcastic
Are you sure. The sky is gray-green
like the dying grass. None of us remember
the world before. We lean out of windows
and strain to see anything beyond
the next rooftop, the stormclouds
that swirl like our computers are searching
for a connection.
