Tina Parker
I meant to tell you
I saw a blue heron
On a rock in the creek
Its wings went wide
To fly from me
I meant to tell you
I saw a deer
A white flicker
In the brush
I meant to tell you
But you were in the shower
And then you were at work
The girls needed their nails clipped
And now you are asleep.
