of a bird, soft beaked.

This bird
Was a poor little thing
Asked for clouds to rise
And the raccoons pried her open
With nails and hammer
And set her eyes
Like flying lanterns
In winter sky

Now when she floats
back by law of ebb
Her body bursts open
