Jennifer Chrystie has poems in The Best Australian Poems 2012, Quadrant, Cordite and The Weekend Australian amongst others. Her two collections, "Polishing the Silver"(2006), commended in the FAW Anne Elder Award and "Weight of Snow"(2013) were published by Ginninderra Press.

in a trio of quails' eggs
or maybe the eggs of Rhea or Roc
nubs of new poems nurtured
in nourishing broth
to gestate and flourish
to burst forth in triplicate
the three muses cheering
their glorious renditions
or lie dormant forever
roughened and resting
in fossilised fantasy
