Editor's Note

It has been 10 years since we first thought about giving short poetry a home; a home where poets could write short works in free verse or form. Picking a name for the journal included many obscure or silly names. But when we thought of the name "Shot Glass Journal", we realized that "Shot Glass" could not only give meaning to short poems, but also has that kick that a shot of good liquor gives you.

Our 10th Anniversary issue, Shot Glass Journal, Issue #30 features a talented group of poets from Australia, Canada, Croatia, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and the US.

In each issue we publish form poems and on occasion we come across a form we don't already have in our Glossary. But looking through our Glossary I realize just how many forms we have published over the years. We hope you enjoy the free verse and form poetry, and the array of poetic styles and poetic voices that makes our journal unique.

Please visit our Archive and Writer Archive to read more of your favorite poets, and visit our Glossary to see all of the different poetry forms we've published over the years.

We hope you enjoy Issue #30 and the last 10 years of our talented poets.
