Hands of time
Sometimes I stare at the road,
and wonder why it's taking all that time
to return you back to my arms. We've walked
on it for days, as we talk about school,
graduation and family. It definitely knows
I really long to see you back,
with your summer smile and sunset flirts.
The only things of note I've seen it bringing
back are memories of my old,
kindergarten bicycle, my grandma's abacus, and silent space.
