Ceinwen lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and writes short stories and poetry. She has been published in on line magazines and in print anthologies. She graduated with an MA in Creative Writing from Newcastle University in 2017.

Ginny

yellow dandelions
thrilled our summer walks
my world fresh-painted
through your infant eyes
their blue sparkle sang forget-me-nots
as you grew and toddled
kicked autumn leaves aside
to pick up copper-polished conkers
on our woodland wanderings

winds blow chill these days
the sunshine     semi-skimmed
frets damp and dim
and beckons my long sleep

you take my arm
and we stroll towards the gate
where we must part
