Megan Stratford
Kept Close
Kneeling in the sand on all fours,
water accentuating the waist I didn't have
like a million, micro suction cups clambering
to be kept close.
No time to catch my breath,
before loosing it to another swish
of enthusiasm, white caps insisting
that I backstroke aimlessly into the
familiar slap of the Atlantic and sting of salt.
