Dwindled trees
Like fish-bones protrude
From the grey
Bounding flesh
Whose craggy spines
Impose smallness.
A man here is no longer
A man,
In the mountains
Alone with itself.
Alone with
Twenty-five freezing –
It hears its
Scattered breathing,
Thinks the wolves are howling,
That light is leaving...
