Jim Burke, lives in Limerick, Ireland. Co-founder with John Liddy of The Stony Thursday Book. Recently completed an MA, in Creative writing, in MMU. Haiku, forthcoming in 'Between the Leaves', an Irish Haiku Anthology, to be published by Arlen House, editor Anatoly Kudryavitsky. Poems and Haiku have been published in various magazines.

The winding weight of
Sprawl
Paved its way
To invade you;
In my boyhood memory
You are clear to me;
Great green ghost-land!
When I close my eyes
Your crickets
Sing inside me.
