Lisa Alexander Baron
flickering in and out of this scraggly hedge,
then scouting and scratching
the cold ground for seeds
sprinkled in early-light.
Rays of sun like thin ribbons
weaving among their small, hustle-
bustle forms, their dark eyes
darting, their just being
despite this freeze, this harshness
incapable of a name.
Lisa Alexander Baron's latest collection of poems is While She Poses (Aldrich P, 2014). Her ekphrastic poems have recently appeared in Chautauqua, Confrontation, The Milo Review, and The Maier Museum of Art website.
