Alexis Lateef
Time spreads itself thin
Time spreads itself thin,
wraps itself around us.
Time reaches from heart
through to ankle,
holding still neurons and
the roots of your hair.
Time says, the moment
is yours.
While the mind,
forever in pursuit,
takes picture after picture
of nothing that matters
and everything that will.
