On Seeing John Milton's Shakespeare Folio

I ask Sandro to stop at The Philadelphia Free Library
On our way to lunch in center city.
I don't tell him why.
He's not really much of a bibliophile,
And getting in and out of his Smart Car
Isn't easy for people as wasted as us.
We take the elevator up to the rare book room,
And there it is: the volume from 1623
With annotations by the writer of Paradise Lost.
I take several pictures with my iPhone
While my friend searches for Grip,
The stuffed crow of Charles Dickens,
And early editions of pornography.
They also serve who only stand and can't relate.
