Lost Dream

The
dream
erased.
A bright world
collapsed on itself,
vanished with the dawn's morning light.
Peeking at me from shadows of my daydream musings,
taunting me as I try to focus and sharpen the edges of details so blurry.
My dreams remain in the gray hazy periphery
beyond my mental reaching grasp.
Unattainable.
Shelved inside
until
sleep
comes.
